Corrib U20s training is starting on Friday night the 15th of October from 7pm to 8.15pm

U20 Eligibility

The age cut-off for U20 players will be as follows: players born on or after 1st July 2001 or who sat their Leaving Certificate and left aschool in 2020 or 2021. Players must have reached their 18th birthday.

Beyond this clubs may apply directly to Connacht Rugby on a case by case basis to allow ‘Returning Players’ who fall outside of the above age cut off to become eligible to play in the U20 Championship. These players must be U23 (born in 1999, 2000 or the first six months of 2001) and must have extremely limited playing history across adult rugby in the past 3 seasons.

The rationale for this rule is to provide a route for U23 players who have played little or no adult rugby to get back into the game at an appropriate level. This rule should not be used to target U23 players who are already playing regular adult rugby at AIL, J1 or J2 level, applications for such players will not be accepted.
